First impression: I was quite pleased with what I found when I got inside the member's area of Faces of Goo. There are links all over the page to large amounts of content, be they linked images or drop-down menus that will take you to any number of feeds and bonus sites. First impression: The member's area of this site is very easy to navigate and is laid out so you can easily find what you are looking at. I decided to jump into the movies first. The movies are in WMV format. You can watch the movies as a single full length movie or broken down into smaller clips. The smaller clips are around 1 minute long each. The videos are very nice in quality. They are clear and look good and even hold their quality very well when you enlarge them to full screen size. First impression: The site certainly lives up to the promise of the tour. It is exactly as depicted on the tour. Quite frankly I don't know why all tours are not constructed like this. My experience is that most sites I visit that have a comprehensive tour based on an up to the minute depiction of what you will find inside, usually turn out to be good or excellent. And the corollary is also true. Most sites that have only a sample of what is inside and are vague about updates turn out to be average or poor. The site is principally a photo site but the home page is devoted to high definition movie of Dasha descending a stairway. One can rate the film and provide comments and there are an impressive number of comments already for a film that was posted two days ago on Aug 8. I note that Petter interacts with his members by responding to the comments. The movie is available in Windows, Apple, DivX, iPod, and PSP formats. I choose the Windows option and right click to save the 80 mb file. The download speed hovers just under 130 kps which is a bit disappointing. I start a second download. It maintains the same download speed so you might as well always be downloading two movies at the same time.

First impression: I am somewhat involved in photography so it is interesting to see the work of real professionals. This month's issue features model Senorita Lera. She is 18. There are five large black and white photos of her. The text tells us that this is her modelling debut. There is an article on photographer Victor Skrebenski and seven of his black and white photographs are shown. There is an article on Craig and Honey Blacklock entitled "The Voice Within: The Lake Superior Nudes" including a collection of artsy black and white photos. For these photographers it seems the human body is treated as landscape.
