First impression: Once I am in the site my first impression is that this is a very well designed site with an immense amount of exclusive original material. As I scan over the thumbnail images and links on the home page one thing stands out, or rather doesn't stand out, there are no cocks to be seen. This is an all girl site. It doesn't look like your normal porn site and I am sure its owner doesn't see it as porn although it is clearly hard core. It is an erotic site. First impression: I am somewhat involved in photography so it is interesting to see the work of real professionals. This month's issue features model Senorita Lera. She is 18. There are five large black and white photos of her. The text tells us that this is her modelling debut. There is an article on photographer Victor Skrebenski and seven of his black and white photographs are shown. There is an article on Craig and Honey Blacklock entitled "The Voice Within: The Lake Superior Nudes" including a collection of artsy black and white photos. For these photographers it seems the human body is treated as landscape. This of course is not the general way of looking at the human body, particularly the female human body, by surfers of adult Internet sites.

First impression: The members' area of Gallery Carré is simple and elegant. Links to the galleries, fine arts prints, backstage (behind the scenes) features, and the newest model are prominent on the top of the main page. The Gallery of the Day is also listed on this page, along with the areas where you can download screensavers, send e-cards, and some special features picked out by Carré himself from his private collection. The various areas of the site are equally functional and attractive. I paid particular attention to the models listing, where I found fifty-nine exceptionally beautiful women portrayed in thumbnail images; each model has a page where you can find some information about her, along with links to all content featuring that girl. Overall, my first impressions were very favourable.

First impression: The members' home page is set up very simply. Across the top of the page are links to Start, Extra and Store. I don't get putting a store in the members' area. We shouldn't need to pay to go shopping. It is plain stupid. If you have a store on your site why not put in the public area. Is there not a lot more traffic there? Start seems like the place to start so I click it. What the Sam Hill! Nothing happens, it seems the home page is the start. Before getting to the rest of the home page let me deal with the remaining link. Extra opens to an additional 5 links, Stories, the Store again, Forum, Cat Fight, and Porn. I click Cat Fight. Amazingly this is a promo for another site that I can pay to join. WTF! Are these people unclear on the concept? Once people have paid to get in they don't expect to see a promo tour for another pay site. Now just out of curiosity I click the Porn link. Shit! Something starts downloading to my hard drive that requires me to insert a Microsoft Word 2000 disk. Thank god I don't have Word 2000 on my HD. Who knows what they are trying to assault me with? At this point I really don't give a damn how good the rest of their content on the site might be. I clearly will not recommend it to anyone.
